The general rule across all venues is that you must be 16 to be a passenger but some circuits will permit that to drop to 14 providing the passenger is assessed to be safe i.e. seat fit, vehicles type. Anyone under 18 must have a Parent / Legal Guardian present to countersign their indemnity form in order to be permitted out on track and anyone under 17 must provide proof of age.
I have been asked a number of times when the booking line for Blyton 2022 will open.
Our current plans are that it will be some time in the first week of February.
This should be close enough to the event to prevent over optimistic bookings from people hoping to get a car finished, but should give plenty of time for folks to make arrangements re accommodation etc.
We currently expect that the event will be a straight 1 day affair without our usual evening meeting. However, people who want to come up the night before will be most welcome & I currently envisage some form of informal gathering. COVID rules permitting.
I can't see me driving a mini all that way, but wondering if there is a spectator fee please Mark? I'd love to meet some of the folks on here face to face

Ive been thinking about what to do on the Saturday night at Blyton and thought we could do a talk about rallycross, a subject that seems to raise a lot of reaction when I talk about it on my page and that we’ve not really covered before.
Rallycross Mini drivers George Jackson and Jeff Williamson spring to mind who already go to Blyton and there’s Roy Edwards who’s still around. Thoughts?
I think that would be great. The only thing that we could do to bear in mind is the ever present spectre of covid. Some people may be a little wary about spending a couple of hours crammed up in a room together.
Assuming that the restrictions in place allow it at the time, my thoughts would be:
It's voluntary - folks can chose to come if they are happy to do so (including speakers)
Numbers are likely to be reduced from normal, but we could set a (say 50%) occupancy cap
We ask that folks sign in for test & Protect / Track & trace.
The room can be well ventilated (windows open a bit throughout)
We could say face coverings should be worn unless exempt, for the safety and reassurance of all (not sure what the rules are on FCs Darn Sarf, we still have to wear them indoors up here)
I don't see a problem wearing a mask if things don't improve by then, we should all be use to it now anyway. If nothing else it'll keep our chops warm, it can get a bit cold in the cabin.

I enjoyed watching rally cross on the telly on a Saturday back in the day. Commentator's nightmare!

Question Javelin Action Day the am/pm option (as well as both) is available but it appears that it is only the OUTER track being used or the day and not a split of EASTERN and Outer - is there not going to be a choice of tracks ?
