Boot lid gap

Post by 360gts »

Just restoring a 67 at the moment......upon fitting the boot-lid I discover a gap issue along the top.
I am using a heritage MK1 double skinned lid. The gap in the middle is much wider than at the ends unlike my other cars.
Has anyone experienced this with the replacement lids? If so, what was the fix?
Doesn't seem to matter what I do...the gap is not parallel.
Here is a picture of one my other cars showing a pretty parallel gap.

Hi Dermott
I did one where're gap was bigger at the top/middle, in the end I pushed the top rail down a little. With the window out, use a block of wood and a heavey hammer to adjust it down a bit, obviously don't move it too much or the back window won't fit :?
