Headlining colour

Post by MrNoo »

I am assuming the headlining colour on a 63 Fiesta Yellow Cooper with blue carpet and blue/silver trim should be cream crackle? same with sun visors and C panels?? Anyone know any different? All the trim had been stripped out of the car when bought so not a lot to go on. Used the search function but not a lot comes up.

I am restoring a '65 Tartan Red Morris 850 with a Tartan Red interior.
I am about to order the interior parts from Newton Commercial.

What should be the color of my headlining?
Also what should be the color of the boot board?

I seem to remember that a standard or basic Mini 850 (if that's what your car is) had a plain (not cream crackle) headlining and visors.
Also. No boot board in a 1965 850 ;)

Our 64 Super Deluxe and our 66 Super Deluxe both have cream crackle. ;-)

That's correct. A Super Deluxe would have the cream crackle in that period but a standard car would not. I don't know which model Mr Lambretta has.

January 1965 Morris 850 (M/A2S4L-) is my car

https://newtoncomm.co.uk/collections/mi ... 1124748168

I see options: CREAM CRACKLE, BLACK, WHITE, GREY
And my interior is tartan red

So, I should order grey or white?

good question

my friend's car is some few numbers later (with the same prefix) and Heritage certificate denotes his car's specs are Deluxe Super

while for my car they just say was built to Danish specs

Just for the history my car doesnt have opening rear windows
