Fuel Rail Bracket / Breather Bracket / Throttle Bracket

Post by apblake »

On my 1967 Austin 1275 S someone put the fuel rail in the wrong place (ahead of the throttle cable instead of next to the rocker cover) and I'm missing the clip that holds the fuel rail to the same stud (I'm still trying to find one of these clips in case anyone has any great ideas) that holds the breather valve bracket. My question is: what is the correct orientation of the breather valve bracket? On my car that stud has a bracket for the throttle cable that aims rearward as well as the breather valve bracket which is oriented towards the front of the car. Just looking at it, it seems like it will be fairly tight to now also fit the fuel rail clip. I'm attaching a photo to try to make it clearer. I would love any info or photos of how this should look that anyone can provide.

Without a lot of duplication and to make it easier/simpler, the orientation of the parts you refer to is all pictorially described in the Mk2 parts list. It seems that they differ very slightly from year to year but.......
