This is my latest "DOWNTON" item, a gearknob.
I know it is a fake but I like it very much and it
looks very good in my Downton Sport40 replica.
A BIG thanks to forum-member kariya from Japan
for doing the Japanees talking and ordering.
I was lucky to get the very last one they had in stock

Very nice.
It looks to be based on the old Alexander shape that Coopers sold as their own back in the 60's.

It's the same shape as the one on page 6 of this article. I don't have any better pics at the moment as the sprint is in storage. I do have an "identical" one in wood also by Alexander though.
