Re: 1275 GT thread
Its interesting that black was the standardised interior trim option in 1969-70 across all exterior colours (like the Mk2 Cooper / Cooper S I guess). Also interesting that Teal Blue isn't on the exterior colour published list for that year (my car was that colour from new) yet there is a Motorgraphs Longbridge production line photo from late 1969 early 1970 with an Antelope and a Teal Blue car. Presumably things had already begun to fall apart by then!surfblue63 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 3:21 pm Also on the main site are a couple of earlier listings of GT colours and trims
October 1969 List https://mk1-performance-conversions.co. ... Models.pdf
September 1976 https://mk1-performance-conversions.co. ... tripes.pdf
Also I do have most of the brochures for 1970s cars scanned somewhere. When I find them I will post them up.

Re: 1275 GT thread
Question.....did all GT's have the solid casting engine block?
Read somewhere that they did......
However, I saw one with the AEG312 thick flange open tappet block.

My 1972 GT DOT 445K widely known as the Black dot, camping in Portknokie ! North East Scotland if my memory
serves me right 1975, had tow bar pulled a small trailer with camping gear, my eldest son was just a baby ,
went well 1293cc, handled well on 6" Mambas and Goodyear Rally Specials , Konis all round.
The Commer Caravanette belonged to my father, had just finished doing some welding and a lower half respray.
Re: 1275 GT thread
I think the first car in that Motor Graphs shot is a Clubman Saloon in Blue Royale. Can't see a GT badge and it looks like a Clubman grille. Also looks to have drum brakes66Traveller wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 5:14 pm Its interesting that black was the standardised interior trim option in 1969-70 across all exterior colours (like the Mk2 Cooper / Cooper S I guess). Re: 1275 GT thread
Yes noticed that the first car isn't a GT - but the colour isn't Blue Royale (BU 38) I don't think - its too light and vibrant. Looks like Teal (BLVC 18)...surfblue63 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 10:31 pmI think the first car in that Motor Graphs shot is a Clubman Saloon in Blue Royale. Re: 1275 GT thread
I think it could simply be a trick of the light. Teal Blue simply wasn't available that early although I agree that the car does look more like Teal Blue in that photo!

Re: 1275 GT thread
Possibly - however Teal was available from the beginning of 1970 on Mk3 Minis and on the 1100 range.
