In the 1980's Malltese racer Joe Anastasi, took a fibreglass mould off the shell of his purple Minisprint racer (see earlier posts) which he used for the

Since you have put a question mark on the end. Yes it is Cedric Bell.

Re: 1960 / 70's Mini Racing Photos
Another album available: Minis at 1966 Gaisberg Hillclimb (between Salzburg and Salzburgring GP track)
First season of Niki Laudas later career starter Mini - 932GYE - then driven by local "touring car hero" Fritz Baumgartner for Team ÖASC Vienna
Number #26 seems to be Hermann v. Richthofen - grandnephew of famous Manfred v. Richthofen (aka "The Red Baron")
Nice coincidences happening - during my research about the Austrian Mini-race scene in the 60ies I discovered and contacted Fritz Baumgartner's former race mechanic, whom I will have a chat with once it is save to do so again.
Second coincidence, rummaging through old entry lists I noticed two not so common names that sounded somehow familar. Turns out that one of the Gaisberg racers is a work colleague's dad (on Mini Cooper S) and the other my best-man's uncle (in a Steyr-Puch 650TR)

Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s

"Future British Saloon Car Champion Bill McGovern’s 1963 Cooper S after he went off at Paddock Hill bend at Brands Hatch in 1965.
The stranded Mini behind belonged to Chris Montague in his first BSCC race."

Re: 1960 / 70's Mini Racing Photos
That’s just how so many of our prized Ss ended up looking in the 70s! Battered old war horses, mine was just the same. You can understand why so many ended up on the scrap heap. In fact I did have to look twice at the orange one in that photo!

Car 33 was Roger Enever in the yellow JCB Mini, which was an ex works rally car. Ended up in Germany.
