Unbelievable - how do they still get away with it!
Yet another log book job. I can't believe how they get away with it.
Love the first line of description : “This is an excellent example of a mark 1 Austin Mini, first registered October 1965”

"paint work is very good through out" but rust and cracks under the front lights, Windows rubbers left in when painted. And the under side of the bonnet is still factory colour. And the patch work boot with the 12" spare wheel and a slap of undersill, plus the inside the car is not painted. And missing the front arch carpet
" excellent body work"
And I can't believe people are asking questions to buy it.
If you going to reshell a early car into a later car you should at least say so when you sell it And not make out that it is a 1965 mk1 etc. When it's some where around 1988-89. If I am right.
The only thing mk1 is the grill.

Re: Unbelievable - how do they still get away with it!
Just checked it and it was first registered in 1989 in green with a 998,and not been taxed since 01/06/2002
Could not help sending this.
"I take it you get the original F968 BOE , V5C that this shell was first registered with in 1989. But has not been taxed since 01/06/2002.
As its very obvious that it is a MK4 shell that you have put a MK1 log book on to but not stating you have done so, and the only thing Mk1 on your car is the grill and that reg number now on the car,
Some thing very fishy. "
Let's see what he says. , oh plus my question should come up on the bottom on the listing

Are you sure? I thought that only the seller can decide on this or has something changed with Ebay?Dean wrote:my question should come up on the bottom on the listing
Just the battery cable is already a potential test failure.

You maybe right. I don't normally sell stuff on there.
He bought it from a mate who bought it of a cancer charity on eBay.
Item number: 270828313092
It's the same wording

It makes me very cross indeed.
Read the back of the V5 and see what happens to people who do naughty things with them:- Several £K fine and up to a couple of years in prison........or not.
I would hate for my P+J to get nicked and then sorted out with one of these documents.
My stickers man that I like so much once made a similar 970s using a Mk2 mini and some bits. It went utterly mental on eBay at the time.
Blatant fraud.
Blatant criminals.
Throw the book at them.

You'd think that the first time it was MOT'd it would get reported to the DVLA? It's to avoid paying road tax, and because it's a Mini no one seems to care!!!
I've reported this car to ebay you never know they might just pull the ad?

ebay dont care..
its takin money from thier coffers
i think ebay should be fined heavily
its only same as a car dealer putting it on his pitch,,he is responsible and liable for fraud!!
whats the difference

With the younger testers, its actually: no one seems to suspect that something might be wrong as they don't know what to look for: it's a Mini Cooper anywaygeorgek wrote:and because it's a Mini no one seems to care!!!
