I'm not good at this! Can anyone help give me a rough idea of what the compression ratio might be for my 998cc engine?
Bore is 998cc +60 and pistons are 0.7mm down the bore at TDC.Pistons are flat top.
The head is a 12G206 which has been machined down to give combustion chamber volumes of 25.3cc
Is this enough information?
Thanks,
Peter

Re: Compression Ratio
Thanks for the reply. That looks like a reasonable CR for this engine. It is fitted with a 998cc Cooper cam, AEA630

Re: Compression Ratio
I have my similar spec 998 with std cam at 9.8:1, only real difference is I am still running the d tops. This I took from the spec listed in technical section for the downton touring conversion, which was what I was replicating.
