Re: Correct plug cap type
Thanks Robin
I did see these but not sure if they would be the correct type for the age of the car.
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks again

Re: Correct plug cap type
How late a MK1 is it?
Coopers & S's were first fitted with WC548's ,then WCX600's, then the rubber wcx200's.
Not sure when the changes were exactly.

Re: Correct plug cap type
May 67 I would say they were most likely to be WCX200's.
I am however prepared to be proven wrong.

Re: Correct plug cap type
Cant find the thread, but Nick posted some great old film camera photos of a late Mk1 Cooper engine bay with a plastic heater hose etc. It had the WC548. Certainly not conclusive though I'm afraid.

Re: Correct plug cap type
Thanks for helping me put a Champion part number on the original plug caps on my car. WCX200! Now I know what to look for when my originals turn out to be a bit spent. Looks like you can get supposed NOS ones for a tenner a piece on eBay still. Cheers folks!
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!
