Ive just put a new fibre top bush in my 1960 mini steering column. Pain in the arse but its in.
Problem is i built it all back up, tightened steering wheel up and the horn push wont stay flush to steering wheel when bottom screw is in - it pops out at 12 oclock position ?
If i ease the wheel up the column slightly, its OK but obviously when you tighten the nut, it takes it back down the column again.
Theres only 1 way the horn spring will fit yet it seems to be too long and is forcing the horn push off ?
Anyone got any ideas ? Am i having a" senior " moment here ?
