The 3 syncro box shows two gears listed 22A377 and 22G202. The visual difference is one has a groove around the center of the gears and the other does not. Question is, are they interchangeable or is one specifically for A gears and the other for B gears? Other than the mentioned groove, is there a difference in the pitch angles etc.

Re: 3 Syncro reverse gears
The grooved one is the later one....
Tooth profile is different, non grooved one has noticeably fatter teeth.....

377 is for A gears
202 is for B gears
.. and unfortunately are not interchangeable

Re: 3 Syncro reverse gears
They will fit but this is undoubtedly another reason for 3 syncro box,s with knackered first gears .
First gear , reverse gear and laygear must all match
The very early reverse gears have a rounded lead on the teeth not a chamfer and a different part number .
May be another one of those 59 mini things
