Oil Pressure Pipe Clip

Post by rogerotto66s »

Looking for feedback re: correctness.

#1
I believe the clip on the left is used to anchor the oil pressure pipe to prevent rattling.

As you can see in the picture (red circle) I placed it on the left bolt of the flywheel/clutch housing.
Should there be another clip on the right bolt (yellow circle)?
If yes, what is this clip called and do you know the part number?

where does the clip on the right go?
looks to hold a pipe the same diameter as the oil pressure pipe.

There should only be one clip to hold the pipe to the clutch housing
The other clip with the small hole , holds the pipe to the fire wall it fits over one of the screws which come through the bulkhead .

I don't recall a slotted clip to hold the oil pressure pipe. Just been working on this part of my engine (remote clutch bleed valve if you're interested) and would say that the moment the clutch cover 9/16 bolt spring washer caught that slot, it'd be toast!

Mine had the slotted one on flywheel housing and the other was located on pipe coming through speedometer hole and I think it was on lower left one as you are facing the front of the car, then the rubber hose goes between the two solid pipes.

I use those bolts/screws below the instrument pod for the brackets to hold the clutch and brake master cylinder pipes.
I also have the oil pressure pipe going through a different hole. I used the existing oil pipe and this was the only way I could get it to fit. I guess I could bend the pipe and attached the clip to the left bracket.

The firewall sound deadening material covers all this up making it hard to find good pictures.
