I think i might have posted this in the past but for anybody that hasnt seen it

a very useful product for minimising heat travel whilst welding
watch the guy hold a red hot bolt :o :o

I use the old fashion method. Wetted asbestos paste as detailed in my BMC body repair manual.

It's reusable as well when dried out, helping the environment :?

I have priced that Wurth Gel and it is crazy expensive. I use this stuff that you can buy on Amazon.

$9 for a large tube of it and I even performed the same trick heating a bolt to red hot and I can hold the other end (at least for a couple minutes!).

well mashed up paper mache from newspapers works bloody well to.
