When I did my white S I used correct dunlop type adhesive...treacle in a tin, this worked for me and has held firm todate.
Did my lastest S project with a quality spray adhesive as my treacle had dried up, went on good ...but have noticed some curling at the edges so not as strong a bond.

Glen, extremely good advice regarding who to choose as your helper
I'm hoping the spray glue I'm using will be adequate. It's used by a local trimmer and is certainly better than the 'Kwik Tak' crap we use at work.

I used spray glue at first but it definitely doesn't give the same bonding as the tinned stuff...unless I wasn't liberal enough with it?
Another tip would be to paint the black behind first - I only realised this once I had inspected and unmolested car very close up... and it was just brushed on quite roughly really.
I wish I'd got the black backed trim too - both suppliers at the time only offered the white backed stuff and I painted the edges very carefully - soaked up easily

Whilst I'm not saying its as good as tinned glue (I used Evostick on 9748KO - good to get yourself into another dimension
) this spray glue sticks like the proverbial to a blanket.
I'll look into painting the ends black too

Another tip , make sure your glue is heat resistant / high temp . I made that mistake and in the summer months when its nice and hot inside the car the material comes loose

The two I've done, I didn't fold over the window flange, just trimmed it off flush with the flange, much easier, and, no problems....

Re: Dash vinyl - the start of another OMG moment??
I have used this forum for a few years now and the information given has been invaluable. Although I have had to revisit some jobs as people have commented on their project and I have found different ways of doing jobs.
The vinyl dash installation gives some great hints and tips which I have used when putting the dreaded vinyl on.
Great forum with good ideas
Thanks
