speedo hunt

Post by redrobbo »

Right, i'm on the hunt for a Austin speedo for my August 62 build 850.
I'm looking for NOS if i can get one.
I've been keeping an eye out on fleabay, not everyday but every month or so when i remember, and one keeps popping up everytime i look.
Does he have a stock pile to sell??
He does have negative feedback, dont know if that is correct or not, for selling stuff that you can buy from Mini spares at a lot less????
Is he a genuine guy that i can purchase off in confidence?

Cannot comment on the seller, but that is a Morris speedo.

You need the cream faced speedo for an Austin, although I think they changed to black faced speedos in 62 for Austins (but stand to be corrected).

It's a shame they were not given dates on them like a lot of other stuff.
Mine being a base model, i think i would have the silver face, ie the higher spec stuff would would have black faces first!
Looks like it on Somerford Mini anyway?
