S Brake Master Cylinder
Hi Folks!
I came Across of a Pile of what in first view looked to me as Cooper S master Cylinders.
As i looked better i see that some have a larger "Foot" Base on the bottom where they are bolted on.
How can i be sure they work for the mini? Are there any differences in bore size?

Re: S Brake Master Cylinder
I recently posted this on FB but it would be handy on here too
Left is early S, middle is S and the right one is 1100 / 1300. They are all the same bore but the push rod on the 1100 / 1300 is longer

That's interesting..... Maybe that's a good enough reason to keep the old S pushrods in the future in case you need to do a bit of pick-and-mix from 2 to make another into an S spec cylinder.

Re: S Brake Master Cylinder
As I understand it, it is the push rod underneath that is the distinction, not the internal parts on these.
Some bores are different however, so you have to check that too.
S is 0.7 as best as I can recall, and am sure someone can confirm that - or correct me

Lockheed were masters in the art of pick-and-mix. A part of from this vehicle this mated to a part of that gave you an assembly or part for a something else. The technical blokes there knew it all off pat.

Re: S Brake Master Cylinder
The push rod length between an S MC and a ADO16 MC is so insignificant that they are, and have been interchanged for years.
