radiator top bracket
does anyone know which is correct for a 1961 850 model?

The lower one is more correct Chewie, the upper one is a later weight saving bracket
Although actually the early cars are triangular in shape and attach to only one thermostat stud. Not sure when they went to the lower type in your picture,

Hi !
The lower one, if for 850 should have a spot welded re-informent strap in position of the 2 radiator holes. It is a strap welded in the bracket itself.

Yes, should have with strap spot welded.
Unless a very early 61, or maybe late 60 can have a different bracket which just fixes with one nut to the thermostat.But if your is middle/late for 61 for sure already with that bottom bracket.
