Hi all
I have a pair of Lucas 576 spots that I am trying to connect into the loom. The loom is a new cooper loom with a provision for spot lights (red/yellow) single point at the grill end, relay in the middle and a single red/yellow cable under the dash. The question is....
How do I connect these spot lights up when I have main/full beam on?
I assume....
The red/yellow cables will connect up to the loom (pretty obvious) but can I connect the two cables from the spots into the blue/white main beam and then piggy back this cable at the switch end?
Any help appreciated
TIA

Re: Wiring Lucas 576 spots
Take a sheet of A4 Paper & Draw out your extra Wires that are needed to connect up your Spotlight / Relays / Fuse/ Switch etc.. when linked into the Cars standard main harness / fuses etc .. most relays have their switching schematic showing on the relay outer case .. when your efforts drawing on paper all looks to be good & will work .. Then Colour Code the Wires in onto the Paper & you will have a Eureka moment when it all becomes clear what connects up to where ..

Personally I would wire them like this, but with the earth going through a switch on the dash so you can turn them off if wanted:

Re: Wiring Lucas 576 spots
Many thanks all
After a few PM’s, settled on doing:
I am going to piggy back the blue white feed into the floor mounted dip switch (going to put the red/yellow cable at dash junction for the dip switch)
Relay is already wired up (as per photograph)
Grill end - Connect up the red/yellow cables
Grill end - Conner the black cables up, possibly putting a three connector where the black cables meet at the grill end.
This should then have the spots switched in when I select main beam.
