I am trying to fit a headlining to my ‘65 Elf. This has the later style one piece headlining.
I believe the old headlining was not the original one and I am having a bit of trouble identifying the correct rods as the colours have faded. Strangely the rear 2, the colours are quite distinct.
However I am not convinced the colours are correct! The last rail should be yellow with the next one forward blue. But if i try these rails in the position of the colours they do not look correct.
Is there anyway I can ID the rods?

I stripped a original mk3 elf and the headlining rods weren’t colour coded. just try each rod in each position you soon work out which goes where then number them for when you fit headlining.
