I just extemded the wires from the fuse box (white ones) and put a switch in-line. I leave the engine running until it cuts out, so the fuel bowls are completely empty.
It gives a few bonuses,
1. the garage wont smell of fuel
2. the cork seals in the H4's wont rot
3. Its a good anti=theft device

but dont forget to put the switch on when you start the car again, otherwise the car wont start! (yes, ive done that, but hey, at least I change dthe plugs in the process)

Please don’t show your posts to your insurance company but please warn any mechanic or passenger before entering the car. Even a thief may have a case against you.

Oh yes and have a extra battery or car charger on hand each time you plan to restart the car along with a can of “ Start You Bastard” or similar and a sign for the rear window “ currently coasting to a stop. Not an Hybrid or Electric car”
