Mystery parts found laying in the gearbox!

Hello Guys

We are currently working on a 850 engine, a light rebuild

When we opened the gearbox the found those two pieces of metal

any idea of what it could be?

Broken off ends of the fuel pump operating lever

Yes, looks like that had 2 goes at it before working out they needed the Insulator !

I saw your message this morning, I ran into the garage and removed the fuel pump.. You're right guys, thank you for your help

Barefoot in a workshop, I see you like to live dangerously! I once stepped into the garage in socks to grab a beer to go with my curry. Cost me a good pair of socks and half a dozen stitches in my heel from where the mystery object sliced straight through!
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!

Haha, the risk is neglectable. Charly seems to have a super tidy workshop - suppose you can have dinner on the heated floor tiles #PoshTinkerer :lol:
