Rear tunnel ashtray
I have a 66 SDL with a centre rear tunnel ashtray (ADA2484) fitted in correct car colour. According to the parts books these weren't fitted until the Mk2. Has anyone else made this discovery. Although it's a 66 it was built in December '65.

Re: Rear tunnel ashtray
I just bought an unrestored Basic 850, built in last quarter of 66 and it has it as well

Re: Rear tunnel ashtray
Always used to annoy me back in the day when they starting blanking off the rear pocket ashtrays and stuck that silly ashtray on the centre tunnel where it usually got kicked off by anyone climbing into the back seat....always removed it and chucked both parts away when I got new rear carpets.

To go to other end of time scale my Mk3 72 has the cut outs in the rear bins for ash trays although none were fitted .mab01uk wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 8:15 pm Always used to annoy me back in the day when they starting blanking off the rear pocket ashtrays and stuck that silly ashtray on the centre tunnel where it usually got kicked off by anyone climbing into the back seat....always removed it and chucked both parts away when I got new rear carpets.![]()
