Re: Works car details
I've read that paddy didn't like the new half heated screen so had it removed for a clear one , but Rauno Aaltonen used it.
So when this early heated screen was fitted, did it use a Tok switch?. Can't find any images of one on the early flat dash.

Re: Works car details
I don't think it would of needed one as the Tok switch (# P13-1 7530) switched the 3 wire screen between parallel and series circuits through the busbars (silver strips), the gold coated screen used a thin gold film on the laminate to create the resistance, if you look at the busbars on page 72 of Roberts new book their appears to be no breaks in the strips so it must be a two wire operation single resistance as opposed to the four used on the later screen.

Re: Works car details
Could be if the car has been running and been just turned off, especially if it’s a mechanical gauge.

Looks like it has a "machine turned" LL Monte wheel?

Yes Steve it’s 8 EMO we fathomed out wearing AJB’s number plate, It was photographed in the Silverstone paddock when it did a promo tour of the circuit, ‘65 British GP I think but I’d have to check.

Re: Works car details
It was a celebration in ‘64 of the win on the Monte and AJB’s win on the Tulip but AJB is actually 8 EMO

I don't think it's a broken window but the reflection of a figure in a dark coat with chain link fencing behind. Maybe they are blocking the light to stop reflection and so help the person taking the photo to get a good shot through the glass.
