A few questions.
#1
Is there any sound deadening material either under the shelf liner or under the shelf in the boot?
#2
The shelf liner is attached to the shelf by 4 screws.
They 2 toward the rear look like they may be sheet metal screws that simply screw into the shelf - no nuts or fasteners.
Is this correct?
#3
The shelf liner is attached to the shelf by 4 screws.
Not sure about the 2 toward the front.
There is a round hole in the shelf approx 3/8” and a 5/8” hole in the shelf liner (cover by the vinyl).
What type of fixture is used here so that the liner can be screwed to the shelf?
I have check the BMC service parts lists but can not find anything.
Here are a few pictures.

1) The Sound deadening is in the Boot, and glues to the underside of the rear parcel shelf.rogerotto66s wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 12:59 am A few questions.

2) The rear of the shelf liner on my 68 S was originally held in place by 2 pop rivets from factory. The 2 rear seat retaining screws hold the liner in place at the front
The two holes you speak of, have no fasteners (on my car).

Re: Rear parcel shelf liner
The rear seat back has two threaded studs that go through and has small nuts fitted in the boot on my 65 car

Re: Rear parcel shelf liner
I will fit sound deadening under the parcel shelf in the boot.
I will try the rivets on the rear holes. If that doesn’t work I will use a screw w/ cup washer similar to boot lid liner.
Here is a picture of my rear seat squab showing the spring nut.
I did not know the rear seat back was held in place in this manner.
I will find a screw and washer and feed it up from the boot through the parcel shelf and into the spring nut.
