Rear Hydro Subframes

Post by bwaminispeed »

Before I make up a couple, does anyone make the bayonet mount to hold rear displacers into the subframe.....

Apparently, even if you buy a "Wet" subframe, it doesn't come with these......

The Heritage wet subframe definitely doesn't include these plates. I think you'd need to salvage them from a scrap frame. I binned my old frame before realising this and assembled the new frame without them. I see them as more of an assembly aid as once in place the displacer is retained by the rest of the suspension, it can't drop out.

Hi,

I recently had the same issue. Managed to get hold of a partial/rotten frame that I salvaged these from.
I have drilled one out, just need to find the time to do the other.
I was thinking of drawing these up and getting some made - but I guess there isn't a market.
Happy to take any measurements/photos if you would like...

Cheers,
Rich

Yet another heritage drop off.

Yesterday we spent some time making bump plates and the earthing point to go on a Heritage boot floor.

Why would you not fit the earth captive nut ?

HaHa, yeah, but, not for that price..........

I have more than enough fabricating skills to hammer a couple out of some sheet metal........
