Rear pocket lights
As my mk1 doesn't have an interior light as standard and when I looked into fitting one, found that the early head liner frame doesn't come with the bracket to allow the interior light to screw too. I'm looking at fitting the original rear pocket lights, I know where to bolt them to, but I dont know where the wiring goes. Help appreciated. A diagram would help thanks.

Re: Rear pocket lights
I have a '61 and have fitted a new Autosparks loom. The wiring for the companion pocket lights spurs from the main loom at the left hand C pillar. The wiring for the left hand light then runs down the C pillar and under the top of the rear quarter panel (under the rear quarter window) and then down the B pillar to the light unit. The Right hand wiring again comes for the main loom at the left hand C pillar up and over the rear window in the cantrail down the right hand C pillar under the top of the rear quarter panel (under the rear quarter window) and then down the B pillar to the light unit as per the other side.
I only have one dodgy photo of the wiring running along the quarter panel from when i stripped the car.
This wiring diagram is from my haynes manual and may confuse you more than my description
