I would have thought a Marina would have a vacuum advance? This one has no vacuum advance on it...
1300 Coupe Marina's had non vac distributors fitted.

Used to come across these in the early 80's it was the only model i ever so fitted with them.

Must have come of an early one though if it had the mini type earlier points with the nut on them

Most of the Marina ones had the fold back type points where you hooked the condenser wire on. 45D type

Our Late, Imported (from the UK !) 998 engines also had no Vacuum Advance. These had to comply with our local anti-pollution laws (they were a similar unit as fitted to the cars destined for Sweden and a couple f other markets).

They didn't have the Vacuum Advance to help with the NOx particulates. It may have been the same on the Marina to which this one was fitted ?

The MiniSpares blurb says: “Lucas 41372 D4 which fitted Canadian 998cc minis and Marina 1.3 HC engines” and the minisport.au says “some MK3 "S" were fitted with 41372 or 41033-23D type”

The Canadian 998 reference could be to meet local emissions rules, same as Australia maybe?
