Mk1 to mk2 shell

Post by jbz23 »

Hi all

How easy is it to convert mk1 shell to mk2 ? Obviously rear window and side windows are different size , but Is there anything else to consider ?

Cheers

That really depends on how much detail you are in for?

Off the top of my head, the speedo housing mounts are different. The cut out for the wiper motor? Shape of the roto dip hole for late mk2’s.

Then you’ve got changes to gutters and the bolt on panels.
I've got a 69 Mini with a 1046, Cooper Head and a four on the floor.

Don't think the side windows were a different size until the Mk3 shell.
