Hi, all
I've had this speedo for some years now, and asking you to please help me identify this as I cannot find similar numbers in Parnell's book.
Must have come from an imported car to one of the Nordic countries - and had a silly 200 kph sticker over covering the mph.
SN4479/10 and 1408 (3.76)
Is it worth getting refurbished?
Seems its missing one of the counters - or maybe just a dummy/empty slot.
Took the glass of only to remove the sticker.
Any help is much appreciated!

It's not in John's book because it isn't a Cooper or Cooper S speedo. Standard Mini KPH speedo equivalent to 90 MPH.

Thanks, Nick.nick rogers wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 12:50 pm It's not in John's book because it isn't a Cooper or Cooper S speedo. Standard Mini KPH speedo equivalent to 90 MPH.
We should wait for his next book on "normal" mk1, then

Actually, its MPH now. All the way till 140 mph.
The sticker (which i have now removed) was 200 kph....
Can it be a streetmix with KPH backplate on a 63 850ccm center, then?

as the "140" was a a standard 998 and 850 Mini's max. speedo reading in kph. IIRC
Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s

Somerford has a good list of speedos. Yours is listed as a mph black
http://www.somerfordmini.co.uk/eshop/in ... page&id=83
Your inner is marked 1408 which is turns per mile for a 3.76 diff
A Euro spec car would have a 140kph speedo with 880 turns per km (and marked kph too) and a different code
