Lucas lamp refurbishment

Post by Aginley »

Does anyone know how to refurb the chrome on the lense?
Is it worth doing or maybe just spray paint it silver?
Any thoughts
Thanks

Firstly: They are not chrome plated, but usually aluminium vacuum metallised.
There is one german company I used, they even state prices ( :!: German )

and a UK business recently recommended for coating 1275GT vents, yet I don't know if they do reflectors too.

I’ve used Genius of the Lamp in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham
Not cheap but very good
