Speedo pod caulking
Apart from buying a box of 60 body caulking strips, which is both excessive and expensive, what do people deem as acceptable to seal the speedo pod to the bulkhead ?
I guess it needs to stay flexible so Sikaflex or similar may not be practical as that tends to stick like s*** to a blanket.

I've used "plumber's putty'
It comes in small tin cans and cost about $1.00.

'Butyl cord' would probably work well, looks to be about £12 for an 8metre roll on amazon.
Comes as a long strip like body caulking, non setting and can be completely removed like body caulking.
Car manufacturers use it for attaching the membrane behind door cards amongst other things.

I use the none setting caravan sealant for things like that, at least things come apart easily if needed

Re: Speedo pod caulking
I haven’t used the tape as bought as a caulking mastic but that should be the same none setting, probably easier to use than from the gun.
Re: Speedo pod caulking
I think the original sealant is body caulking.
