Anybody ever seen a large tail oil fed primary 998 crank, cross drilled from the factory?????
Number is 12G95, which doesn't show up on any of the regular crank lists.......
Forged number is ground off, and, number is stamped in....

Found this on Somerford.....
12G94 CRANKSHAFT-1098cc OIL FED PRIMARY GEAR 1 1/2''
If it follows the camshaft numbering system where the part number in the book, and, the number stamped on the part differ by 1, then, looks like this is my crank......
Anybody ever seen a cross drilled 1100 crank before.....
It's brand new, never been in a motor......All the crud on it is dried up packing/shipping grease......

I haven't seen one but a mate in the UK has a few.
I'll have to check with him, but I think he said they were fitted to the ADO16 MG 1100 engines.

OK, that almost makes sense......Although, I wasn't aware of any 1100s having oil fed primaries.....
I also have another later 12G82A that is also cross drilled, and, appears to be 1100 also.......This one, is used, and, deva bush......This one I believe was out of a Clubman Wagon from South America....
Are there any decent 1100 3 ring pistons out there....

The first 1100 engines had a wet primary gearbwaminispeed wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 1:52 am Although, I wasn't aware of any 1100s having oil fed primaries.....

The ADO16 was introduced in 62 and the primary gear went dry in 63.
