Control and fuse box mounting

Post by rogerotto66s »

Currently installing wiring loom in 1966 Cooper S with wet suspension.

Here is my current location based upon feedback from a “knowledgeable” mini person.

After reading the Parnell book I am beginning to second guess these locations.

A “wet” car seems to have a different location than a “dry” car and an “S” seems to be different than a “non-S”.

Can you all set me straight before I put the wiring loom in?

My ‘67 wet S looks about the same

I think the fusebox should be rotated vertical, not horizontal as I have it.

Here's a pic of a original 68S taken during tear down. Your fuse box looks like it needs to be rotated.

Fusebox has a single screw mounting, I’ve seen them at all kinds of angles - I think they find their own orientation over time :)

Thanks all.
I will follow suggestions and work wiring loom under the control box and over the fuse box.
