Steering Wheel ID

Post by indigo »

Can anyone ID this steering wheel for me?
14 inch OD, boss is 9 hole, 98mm PCD
The inside centre of the boss has C109 stamped into it.
On the back of the boss where it bolts to the wheel I can make out Made In France, although France is hard to read.

 It could be an very early Lecarra if the bolt holes are on the same place as Moto Lita.

 I found one picture in my arcive with the text Made in France.

It schure is not an Astrali steering wheel, those wheels had only 6 bolts.

Yes I agree, it looks like a Formuling.
Unusual PCD at 98mm or maybe 3 7/8 inch.
Need to find a better centre if I am going to use it on the Mk1.
Were the French metric or imperial back in the day?
Other than steering wheels, there is not much info on Formuling as a company.

:P Maybe the tulp boss from Moto Lita will fit (diameter 89mm and the same hols)) or
the tulp boss from Astrali and Mountney if you want to fit an bakalite Mk1 horn push.
