How to mount trunk light on double skin boot?

I have a double skin boot, and I want to mount a Lucas back-up light. Has anybody a picture of how they did this. I figured a one inch hole in the boot with a rubber grommet? Would allow access to the mounting nut.

If you are using the original backing washer on the 576, it is bigger than 1" dia

I thought some rally car must have done this?

Ive seen one done with a 2" hole drilled on the inner skin and then a 2" backing washer (use a Magnet to get it through the hole) on the Spotlight.
Finished with a large Rubber Grommet that the wires come through. Nice neat job.
