Seat belt retro fit

Post by roymck »

Want to fit seat belts into my 63 that’s never had belts fitted . I am looking for a particular type that I think were standard BMC fitment but I cannot see any details or photos.
So these belts were inertia but the tunnel mounts are not on a stalk but there was rigid metal A frame that bolted to the tunnel mounts and the buckles are mounted rigidly to this A frame.
Sure I have not imagined this , so does anybody have a photo or a picture from a parts list or even a set up for sale?

Thanks Roy

The ones you describe were fitted to early 70's models.

Ebay is probably a good pl;ace to look. As they are not "MK1" style belts, they will probably be fairly cheap.
