Maniflow - inlet manifold servo take-off

Post by thefarmer »

Morning,

Anyone received an inlet manifold (weber) with a servo take-off from Maniflow before? Just wondering if you have, which side they put the take-off.
I received one the other day, and it's on the opposite side from the servo...which I've never seen before. Obviously it will work...that's not the problem, but I was expecting it to be in keeping with other inlet manifolds out there.

When ordering the inlet manifold, it was never discussed as to which side, and admittedly I never assumed it would be put on the opposite side from where I have always seen them before.

After speaking with them this morning, I was informed it was 'luck of the draw', they never thought about it, and I was the first person to complain about it...and, weber's don't normally have take-off's. So, it sounds like as they don't normally have take-off's, Maniflow will put one on for you, but they will put it wherever they want, because they shouldn't be there in the 1st place.

I've scoured the internet, and although i can see various inlet manifolds with take-offs on the opposite side, it seems that these were made for another car, not a mini...

Maniflow are willing to correct the situation, but will charge me for doing it..or if i return the item, they will refund. They they hung up on me....so we're not best of mates now...

Before I rang them...I wasn't too bothered (I could get it rectified myself at some point)..but after the phone call, and how well that went, it's turned into bloomin wind up.

Cheers

Ben
