Looking very good mate , certainly a lot different to when I last saw it
Did you use the cobham mob on the rebore ?
Once we get this whole pandemic out of the way I will pop over and bring some bits and bobs

Thanks for all the comments folks
Certainly it is getting towards the more interesting part, and sometimes the most frustrating.
Jeremy, yes I did use Alan at Engine Engineering Yep, once this shite is all over, you are more than welcome to come over.

Thanks Tim
Won’t be long now until there is some colour on it
I ordered some paint from Ken & Lynn Burdekin yesterday for Dad’s VDP1300 and some 2k Surf for the Raptor. Ken said they have never been so busy, everyone is at home doing their projects ..

Re: My new project - 1965 Morris Cooper S - HOY 500D
So, while I have been working 4 on 4 off during the lockdown, it has meant I can get a bit more done then usual.
Am now well into getting the body ready for paint and Raptor. The 2 pack high build primer and the use of Abranet mesh abrasive along with some dust extraction Mirka sanding blocks has made body prep much easier.
Today I applied the first base coats to the outside.
Before anyone mentions it ... I know its the wrong colour
I have used a litre of BL Aqua that we had in the cupboard on it as base coats to build a depth and show up any areas needing further attention. Next coats will be the Surf Blue. When I apply the top coats, the domestic garage will be cleared out to give maximum spray gun swinging room, especially along the sides.
Next up is the Raptor, hopefully early next week.

No it's Aqua, but poor colour representation from crappy light from fluorescents .

Thanks for the comments everyone
Even though the paint is the wrong colour it’s certainly made the project look like it’s getting there.

Wow! What a transformation. Doesn't a bit of colour make a difference. Just think how it'll look when you get the final coats of Surf Blue on
