1275 pressed steel Rocker Pad Q,s

Have a set of 1275 Pressed Steel "Large oval Pad" Rockers that probably came from a Mk3 S Engine..
Question.. can these Rocker "Contact Pads" be resurfaced to take out evident wear on the Rocker Pad to Valve contact area ?
Second Question..How deep is the case harden on these Rocker Pads ?
Third Question ..Maybe the Pad itself is made from a Tool Steel type material that did not get or need any Case Hard Surface Treatment ?
Forth Question.. Pad surface profile needs to be correct on any re-grind .. who does this task in the UK?
Fifth Question .. Why do the later type Rockers of Pressed Steel type need to have a Large Oval rocker Pad?

Talk to Keith Calver about reprofiling/clean up of those rockers. Probably AC Dodd as well.
I know Keith restores those type of rockers as he offered to do my 998 ones recently.

I'm not sure these were fitted to the late S's ?

They were used on the 1300 series cars and the In-line 1275 Engines. They are a great Rocker and always my first choice of the factory Rockers, but I never get why some people think they need to be welded.

I routinely dress these. I have a Jig I made and do them on the Surface Grinder, but any engine machine shop will be able to do them.

I would say you are correct in your thinking as to the type of material they are made from.
