My Nov 61 built Super has the straight fluted floors - it is an Austin, but is Cowley built.

Father in Law shifted new Mini Shells from Pressed Steel Cowley up to Longbridge when working as a Lorry Driver for British Road Services.
he once lost a Mini shell en-route & had to go back & find that body in white shell & recover it from where it was sitting in a ditch

There you go, you can’t argue with evidence on the ground backed up by factory records in the for of heritage trace.
So far we have straight flute floors - late November 61 from Cowley
- late June 61 from Longbridge
Can we try another floor detail, the crossmember? What about the seat brackets? How late were the welded brackets used and does this match the floor pan dates. Yes, I guess we are in anorak territory here but there are published assertions that most definitely appear to be wrong.
