Hello Folks.
My MK3 Mini was registered in the first week of June 1971. The engine/gearbox is green. As you can imagine, high on the list of things to do is to replace the sills, but which ones, 4 flute or 6 flute? Does anyone know the change over date please?
Thank you for your attention.
Regards.
John

I would say you want 6 vent sills, on the Mk 3 Cooper S they changed late 1970ish.

Re: Which Sill
My 24 November 1970 built Mk3 Cooper S also has 4 flute sills. Another car over here built middle March 1971 has 4 flute sills and it is 100% original

Not correct what I said, that Mk3 Cooper S I referred to had its PDI inspection middle March 1971

Thanks everyone for your input.
Looking at the M-Machine web site, it would appear that the change from 4 to 6 flute was in the MK3 production run, but when.
Further research is required.
