Hi , Back again gents.
My pre verto ? clutch has x6 3" springs between the flywheel and the diaphram. Cannot find similar video on Youtube. Has anyone else got this early set up and if so, how do i keep all 6 springs in place as i try and put the long 3 bolts back in to meet the pressure plate ?

A pre, pre veto if you are lucky enough to still have that set up and it works
We used to use a light wire as I recall - all carefully holding it together beforehand and pulled out last minute... but I am sure there was a proper tool??
You may wish to scan down a couple of articles are here?

Re: 1960 MINI 850 CLUTCH
Hello Gary,
I've done my 997 Cooper clutches a long time ago now. If I remember, I found it easier to assemble
it all with the flywheel horizontal and I used a spare crankshaft and primary gear to keep It all aligned.
My Flywheel removal tool has 3 studs that screw into the flywheel and pass through the pressure spring housing. Nuts are then tightened equally to close the gap and fit the driving plate bolts to the pressure
plate. I hope this makes sense. My wife says I never explain myself properly.

Re: 1960 MINI 850 CLUTCH
I did mine recently.
To reassemble I put it on a towel on the floor and Used 3 sliding g clamps to pull it In enough to start the 3 bolts. Then slid it, bolts still loose onto the crank which aligned it before tightening.
Not as easy as that sounds but do-able.
Thanks to a lot of valuable advice on here I must add!!
