Door panel backing

Post by roymck »

Due to the drain hoses breaking in the doors the bottom of the door panels has rotted away . Now I could get new panels but there is nothing wrong with the vinyl just the backing .
What can I use for a new backing panel ? Can’t use ply as first thought as the panel has to be bent harshly to refit .
Any thoughts?

Yes I know it’s not original

My wife says I don’t listen to her or something like that !

Doesn’t look like hardboard , but the stuff I looked don’t seem flexible enough . But maybe I can get it thinner , good call .

Mill board is the stuff. Thinner & more flexible than hardboard.

Available from trimmers supplies like Woolies.
