low flying wheel!!

lloyd hutchinson had a small incident the other weekend.

its not just the wheel that you see vanish skywards, but the wheel, hub, disc, caliper etc! :shock:

Looking at the size of wheels and offset, I'm not surprised.

its got a wide track kit on it, and its running 13" compomotive motorsport wheels - so size of wheels and offset have less impact than running, say, 7" wheels on a nomal set up ;)

the fault started with a crack in the bottom balljoint, which had done nine events, rather than the normal six that they do before replacement!

im sure also landing that hard didnt help either! :lol:

Was the wheels ever found again...?

Judging by the speed it set off, I suspect that it is currently in orbit!

he actually got it back, the tyre had punctured and the wheel was bent - probably from when it hit the wall and got launched into orbit.

it went about 20 feet into the air from reports of people who where fleeing the area!

a few years ago he broke a rear radius arm and lost a wheel, kad rear disc set up etc - this vanished and was never returned, even though someone was seen lugging their prize down the road....... :(
