Im restoring a may 1966 998 cooper. Would any members be able to confirm if this is the correct top hose and themostat housing .Also I do not have a starter soleniod would anyone have a photo of the correct solenoid and mounting.

Not sure on housing but looks same as on my mk2, but your solenoid would be as per this one

I'd agree with Daz, those repro solenoids are at best crap, at worst .....
An original genuine Lucas one is the way to go

I think a have a dated June 66 Cooper mk1 solenoid, removed from mine
