Some 1275 GT queries :-

Post by woodypup59 »

At Normans suggestion here are some early (1971) 1275 GT questions :-

Should it have double valve springs.

Would it have rubber cross drive couplings ?

Are the drive shafts standard spec thin ones or thick "S" types.

1, I doubt it very much, basic tune 1300 engine

2 yes definitely

3 don't know but I can measure a shaft, or if anyone knows the difference in shafts I'll look.

If you could measure a shaft that would be great.

Side by side the "S" types are obviously thicker.

They had standard drives shafts in common with other Mini models of the era.

My September 1970 had single valve springs and rubber couplings on standard sized shafts
