Anyone looking for dated glass

Post by Andrew1967 »

I'm going to look at a clearance of some Mini parts on Friday (not the usual place) and they have a shed load of glass apparently.

Is anyone looking for anything in particular that I could look out for ? I don't think it will be expensive at all, they just want rid.

Postage is a potential issue, but I can pack carefully to avoid breakage. Front and rear screens would be collect only, or, if payment is made beforehand, I can bring to Blyton next year !!

Please can you also advise preference (or no preference) of Triplex or Indestructo

Those already posted - please edit posts accordingly

Thanks :)

Always good to have spares :-)

Anything 64 or last quarter 63

Second or third quarter 66

With 4 cars in this range Id be grateful for any spare glass you can get :-)

Edit:

No preferences on Triplex or indestructo - I know 100 per cent one of my cars had both fitted ;-)

Id be very interested in anything Q1 ‘67 please.

Think glass was mixed at time so either Triplex or Indestructo is good.

Many thanks,
Mike

No pref from my end, and what might help. Both were used mixed up, so you could have both on one car

Hi Andrew

If you managed to find any first quarter 63 door glass I would be very grateful and join the queue. Prefer Triplex. Dot over T in Triplex and under U in Toughened.

Thanks

Nick

An update on the glass ...

I couldn't get to see it today and have left the details with the owner.

Hopefully will get a report back on what is available in a few days or so.
