I’ve had valve spring caps hitting the hrg rocker cover so I’ve changed it, bugger I liked that..

Yup, That's a common issue. I machine the middles out of old HRG covers to accommodate new valve gear.

Next should be my mk1 I’ve owned for 32 years.
It’s 98% ready for the paint shop, there also a big stack of nice parts waiting!
If the mokes not sold soon I’ll just put it in storage and start on the mk1.
We’re dew to start an extension in March so it will be handy if the mk1 is at paint and then back when the new garage is finished..

Here we go again.
Life without a moke was boring.
So the problem with the last one was it was to nice for the kids to climb on and I dared leave it anywhere, it was also to fast for an average driver like me.. I like building cars not driving them.
My next plan is a scruffy moke probably involving Chris the village sign writer we had a chat at Combe and he’s up for it..(scruffy most people so far have said my OCD will not cope with this!)
But first a short trip to the next village, the studio of mr Wiginton!
To be continued!

As someone who classes himself as an accidental Moke owner and who used to laugh at the stupidity of owning a Moke this close to the Atlantic,I completely agree that life without a Moke is too boring. :) Looking forward to updates as they happen.

Ha ha,
You also live in Ireland, after I met you earlier in the year it rained for the whole week! Perfect moke driving conditions
I’m now trying to think of a 1960’s theme for the village sign writer Any ideas welcome ?

I like the BMC comps dep artwork that Chris dose..
Kinky boots, a local shoe factory! I use to look after Steve paintmans cars..(have you seen the film)
It’s Le Mans classic this year perfect pit vehicle!
If banksy paints it and it sells for £1m I’ll have a large garage full of minis and great fun at blyton!
