Rear quarter window rubber

I have just fitted new quarter window rubber from minispares on my mk1 piano hinged windows and the flange on the rubber seems to put pressure on the hinge anyone else had this problem? do you have to trim the rubber around the hinges? anyone got a pic of their hinges and how the rubber fits there? regards Steve

steve you can trim the rubber around the hinge.

i have a mk1 that had that done when new (or near), so it was obviously a problem back in the day as well!
